Meet The Team
- DR JOHN PACKER
- B.D.S. GRAD.DIP.Dental Sleep Medicine
John Packer is our senior, most experienced dentist. He has extensive knowledge and expertise in general dentistry and has a particular interest in bite problems, orofacial pain, gum disease, crowns and bridges and cosmetic dentistry. John has recently completed a university based diploma in the treatment of sleep disordered breathing such as sleep apnoea, snoring and night time grinding.
- DR SUBHASHINI MANANDHAR
As a Dentist, Dr Subhashini’s main interest is in preventive dentistry, focusing on the general wellbeing of oral cavity. Dr Subhashini performs all general dentistry and has a special interest in endodontics.
When Dr Subhashini is not in surgery, she enjoys travelling, hiking, going to the movies, shopping and cooking. Dr Subhashini also enjoys running and participating in running events.
Dr Subhashini is happily married whose husband teaches environmental economics at the University of Queensland in Brisbane.
- DR AMY KRAATZ
Dr Amy graduated from James Cook University in sunny North Queensland. She has experience working in various locations all over Australia having spent some time at clinics in the Northern Territory, Cairns and Hobart. Dr Amy prides herself on her communication skills and is always happy to listen and takes time to understand her patients’ needs. With special interests in cosmetic and restorative dentistry Dr Amy strives to provide the best care possible with a gentle chairside manner to ensure utmost patient comfort.
When not in practice Dr Amy enjoys cooking and spending time with friends and family. Her other favourite past times are going to the beach, keeping active and exploring new areas.
Dr Amy has family living on the East coast and visits them whenever she has the opportunity.
- DR NAVISA NAJMI
Dr Navisa graduated from James Cook University in Cairns with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree. She practices all aspects of dentistry focusing on providing patient-centred care.
Dr Navisa has a strong belief in treating all her patient’s equally and respectfully. She has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery. She also enjoys treating children, making them feel comfortable during treatment.
Outside dentistry, Dr Navisa’s hobbies include participating in community development programs for children and junior youth. She enjoys spending time with family and travelling with friends. Dr Navisa can speak Farsi, Urdu, Hindi and English.
- DR JANAK PATEL
- BChD, MFDS RCS Ed
Dr Janak Patel was born and raised in Northampton, England and studied at the University of Leeds. He has worked over various regions of England gathering valuable experience in general practice and in hospitals before making the move down under.
Dr Janak enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds and in particular anxious patients who are nervous about attending appointments or having treatment carried out. He has a caring and gentle nature and is keen to work with patients with an understanding approach to help achieve their perfect smile and great oral health. Dr Janak also has a special interest in minimally invasive cosmetic options whilst offering a holistic approach to providing care.
While not at work Dr Janak enjoys Football, cycling, running and hiking in his free time as well as watching gigs and live music with friends.
- DR MICHAEL DAVIES
After Qualifying with Merit in 2015, Dr Michael Davies completed his dental foundation training (DF1) in an NHS general practice and dental core training (DCT1) year in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Leeds General Infirmary, during this placement Dr Michael became a published author in both British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (BJOMs) and British Dental Journal (BDJ). Dr Michael then went on to working in General practice, emergency and out-of-hours dentistry and as a Clinical Teaching Fellow (CTF) in Restorative dentistry at Leeds Dental Institute. During this position he became an associate fellowship in the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
Dr Michael has a keen interest in minor oral surgery including surgical extractions of wisdom teeth. Dr Michael always makes it a priority to stay up to date with the latest education available, he believes having clear communication and educating his patients, so they can have great oral care habits at home and in between visits is extremely important.
While not at work Dr Michael likes to travel and experience new places. He feels that this helps to inspire and allow him to grow as a person. Dr Michael enjoys the great outdoors whether that be camping, hiking, cycling or playing/watching football (Soccer).
