Karen Ward - Dental Therapist, 1300SMILES Townsville

As a Dental Therapist Karen works solely with 4 to 18-year olds.

Her duties include examinations, x-rays, restorations of baby and adult teeth, cleaning and fluoride applications, emergency treatment due to caries (decay) and trauma, oral health instruction (teeth brushing etc) and recognition and referral of any abnormalities or orthodontic problems.

Karen treats and provides individual treatment plans that best suit the needs of the individual child and their families whilst creating a trusting and positive environment.

Personal: Lives in Townsville with her husband and three boys - Jared 21, Nick 18 and Brock 15
