"Lochie had his first loose tooth and bit into something yesterday, twisting his tooth and produced enough blood for a horror movie. Your staff were able to squeeze Lochie in within a few hours and we made the hike over to Rasmussen. Once again, Karen Ward was fantastic. She gave Lochie lots of options and helped him work through the decision to have the tooth removed in the chair. She couldn't have made him (or me) feel more comfortable about the whole thing. Then when she prescribed a McDonald's soft serve icecream to make Lochie feel better, she raised herself into the 'walk on water' category in Lochie's eyes! Just wanted to pass on again how great it is to have Karen there for the children. I'm just trying to work out how to forge my birth certificate so I can see her as well!
When Lochie and I were driving home and I told him how proud I was of him for how he handled the whole thing and that I thought he had been very brave, to which he replied, "I wasn't that brave Mummy, it was only going to the dentist"!!!"
