As a shareholder in 1300SMILES, I welcome this excellent result.

But your article missed many key points.

First, 1300SMILES is the only ASX-listed company based in Townsville. All head office and management functions are here.

Second, this story is not about one dentist laughing all the way to the bank. It's about how an entire industry is being re-organised at the initiative of a Townsville company. The success of 1300SMILES illustrates the impracticality of old-fashioned dental practices operating from converted old houses.

Third, much of 1300 SMILES's success comes from delivering dental services to regions where they have been in critically short supply. Mackay is a good example.

This story is not about one dentist. It's about dozens of dentists working within an organisation which enables them to deliver top services.
